1990's Edwards Japan (by ESP) George Lynch Kamikaze-1 Superstrat
Edwards Guitars is the subsidiary of ESP Guitars that creates high quality Japanese made instruments for very reasonable prices. This is a late 90's artist model designed to replicate the George Lynch Kamikaze-1.
These are a very uncommon model as they were usually only made as ESP branded guitars rather than Edwards. Maple body with a satin smooth maple neck with a dark rosewood fingerboard (22 frets, 12" radius), it weighs 4.2kg's. Loaded with a TRS-101 tremolo system and what looks to be the original pickups (unbranded but high quality), single volume knob with a push/pull pot to switch between the single coil and the humbucker.
Good used condition as pictured with some signs of wear and tear. Restrung and given a professional Floyd balance prior to listing, frets have some use but have life left and the neck is straight. Small crack on the low E tuner was injected with glue and clamped so it's a non-issue with no structural problems. Has an aftermarket nut, otherwise it seems all original.
