1987 Yamaha Japan SFX-I Kyoji Yamamoto Artist Model (Black Pearl)
Japanese made in the late 1980's, the SFX guitars were a signature series for Kyoji Yamamoto. The SFX-I was the highest end model in the range, featuring a maple set-neck construction with a mahogany body, bound maple top and rosewood fingerboard (24 frets, 628mm scale length), it weighs 4.4kg's. Rocking Magic II locking tremolo system and a pair of Power Guerrilla rail humbuckers controlled by master volume/tone knobs, a coil split toggle and an active power boost toggle.
Very good vintage condition with a few light signs of wear. Frets are smooth with very light play wear, the neck is straight and the truss works as it should. Has an aftermarket pickup selector toggle installed.
