1984 Greco Japan Explorer Electric Guitar (Metallic Red)
Made by the Fujigen factory in 1984, this a store or customer order EX model from Greco. This is the only one of these i’ve ever seen in my life, if you’re able to find another online i’d love to see it!
An 80’s Explorer shape and style with a metallic red finish all over, it looks to be an alder body with a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard (weighs 3.5kg’s). 22 frets, 628mm scale length and a 43mm nut width. Loaded with the original Maxon pickups and Greco stamped tuners along with the original wiring and electronics.
Good vintage condition with the standard bumps and dings you’d expect from a 40 year old explorer, primarily on the horns. Given a service and restring prior to listing, electronics were flushed and sound good and the truss works as it should. Frets have life left and play smooth with some basic pitting and play wear.
