1984 ESP Japan Random Star Akira Takasaki Style Electric Guitar (White)
Made in Japan in around 1984 (based on the CTS pot codes and the overall specs/style of the guitar and stamps), this is likely one of ESP's short-run models based on the guitar Akira Takasaki (of LOUNDESS) used throughout the 80's including the bands US dates in 1985. Solid alder body with a maple neck (pronounced V profile, 22 frets), it weighs 3.5kg's. Loaded with a pair of ESP branded humbuckers and a top-mounted locking tremolo system along with the traditional 6IL tuners mounted in a 3x3 layout. Single volume knob with a 3-way pickup selector and a straight-to-output mini toggle that bypasses the volume knob.
Good overall condition as pictured, we had this one professionally refinished prior to listing as the previous finish (which was the same colour) was covered in stickers. Given a full restring and tremolo service prior to listing.
