Looks to be a limited edition or custom order SC3000 from the early 1980's as part of Yamaha's second edition of Japanese made SC models. Bright blue gloss finish on the body and neck, the 3000 was built with an alder body, set maple neck with a 21 fret rosewood fingerboard (42mm nut width, 13.75" radius) and weighs 3.3kg's. Loaded with three Yamaha Alnico single coils controlled by a five-way pickup selector and push-pull tone pot to reduce the windings of the pickups for a lower gain.
Good overall condition with a few cosmetic dings as pictured, restrung and cleaned up prior to listing. Frets are well used but were polished and play well with plenty of life left, neck is straight and the truss works well. Had a slight headstock repair as pictured, rock solid and smooth to touch.
