One of the Japanese market Fender branded guitars from the famous JV series that notoriously impressed Dan Smith when they were released in 1982. This is a ST57-65 model made by the Fujigen factory, neck stamped 3-25-83. Alder body with a polyester finish, 21 fret oval profile maple neck, it weighs 3.4kg's. Electronics in this one were replaced by the previous owner to have two generic alnico pickups and a Seymour Duncan humbucker in the neck along with a vintage tone capacitor and master volume/tone knobs.

Given a basic service prior to listing, frets have some pitting but are shiny and have plenty of life, truss is adjustable and the neck is straight. Pots were flushed and work well along with the 5-way switch. The "Made in Japan" insignia on the headstock was scratched out by a previous owner.
