1982 Greco Japan TL-800 Telecaster (Black & Gold)
Made by the Fujigen factory in Japan just months before they started their Fender contract, essentially what you've got here is a 1980's Fender with a Greco logo. The TL-800 is a rare vintage model from Greco with an 80's modern look, black finish on the neck and body with aged gold hardware and a gold flake logo. I believe it's an alder body with a maple neck and 21 fret rosewood fingerboard, it's loaded with the original Maxon telecaster pickups and Greco branded tuners and weighs 4.1kg's. 43mm nut width and a 648mm scale length.
Looks to be all original except for the pickguard and a lightly relic'd brand new poly refinish on the body that was aged to match the rest of the guitar. Given a full professional service and setup prior to listing, plays and sounds great with shiny frets and a straight neck. Light pitting on the frets but they still play smoothly, truss is adjustable and the electronics were flushed and work well.
