1968 Yamaha SA-70 Hollowbody Short Scale Bass (Sunburst)
The early model SA-70 hollowbody bass made in Japan by Yamaha in around 1968. Hollowbody (maple) construction with some film in the f-holes to reduce unwanted feedback, maple neck with a short scale (30") rosewood fingerboard, it weighs a reasonable 3.6kg's. The original bass humbuckers sound great with plenty of output, intonate-able bridge adjusts well (missing the cover), volume/tone/balancer knobs work as they should (one knob replaced).
Good vintage condition as pictured with a few cosmetic bumps and dings. Truss was adjusted prior to listing, neck is straight, frets were polished and play smoothly, fretboard was oiled.
