A higher quality build than many Guyatone models, the SG-28 was made by Matsumoku in the early 1970's (rather than the usual Guyatone factory that made most of the entry level models). Bound thinline hollowbody construction with a cherry red finish that has a very subtle burst, slim bolt on maple neck with a triple bound rosewood fingerboard (40mm nut width with a 628mm scale length) loaded with block inlays, weighs a nimble 2.9kg's.

Seems to be all original with two volume and tone knobs and a three-way toggle switch controlling the nice vintage-output Aria humbuckers.

Plays and sounds great with some wear to what seem to be the original frets and has a straight neck with an adjustable truss.  The binding has lifted very slightly in some spots but overall the finish and cosmetics are very clean.
