Made in Japan in the early-mid 1990's, the PTR series were original designs that take a lot of inspiration from the Musicman Axis. Made with a mahogany body, maple neck (with a birdseye laminate) and rosewood fingerboard, it weighs 3.4kg's. The previous owner added a custom "f-hole" to the top along with converting the sycamore laminate top into a quilted maple. To quote the person that did the work: "It looks rough when you look at it up close, but at first glance it looks like a high-end guitar".
Good overall condition as pictured with some basic wear and a few chips on the horns, received a restring and professional setup prior to listing so it plays smooth with a straight neck, shiny frets and a fully functional truss rod.
