1982 Greco Japan SV-600 Super View Semi Hollowbody (Sunburst)
Made by the Fujigen factory for Greco in the early 1980's, the SV series were designed as smaller bodied semi-hollow guitars and pre-date the ES-339 by decades! Maple top and back with a slim 60's mahogany neck and 22 fret rosewood fingerboard (42mm nut width, 628mm scale length). With a 39cm lower bout and a 27cm upper bout, the body is nice and compact while still maintaining a loud acoustic tone, weighs 3.9kg's.
Loaded with the original pots, wiring, jack and Maxon PU pickups that match the guitar perfectly, it's got brand new Gotoh machine heads installed. Knobs and tailpiece are reminiscent of the Ibanez Artist that were being made at the same time.
This one arrived to us with a headstock break that we had professionally repaired in house by our tech. The break at the volute was glued, filled, buffed and polished so it's only visible if you're looking closely. The guitar then received a full professional setup and service with a fret polish, fretboard oil and truss adjustment. The neck is straight and the frets have plenty of life with only light wear. Binding has some slight crumble (common for these models) but overall it's a tidy vintage guitar.
