1978 Greco Japan M1000 Rick Nielsen Mirage/Iceman (Metallic Blue)
Made by the Fujigen in May of 1978, the MS-1000 was Greco's flagship Mirage/Iceman model identical to the guitar played by Rick Nielsen at the famous Budokan shows in 1979. Mahogany body with a slim 60's profile neck and a 22 fret rosewood fingerboard (44mm nut width, 628mm nut width), it weighs 3.9kg's. Loaded with the original Greco PU-0 pickups, Greco PAT tuners and the original harmonica bridge and ornate tailpiece.
This one is in very clean cosmetic condition as pictured with very few notable signs of wear except for the aged binding that's common on almost every one of the Mirage models from this period. The finish itself is shiny and has minimal chips and the hardware is all shiny and functional. Has a new output jack installed otherwise it appears to be all original.
Received a full professional setup and service prior to listing including a truss adjustment, fretboard oil, fret polish and deep clean. Neck is straight and the frets are shiny and smooth with plenty of life left.
