A limited run from Fender Japan, the Fender "Classic 60's Texas Special" was a Japanese market exclusive that came factory loaded with USA Texas Special pickups. It's now even more special as we had it professionally refinished in a bright pink with a metallic silver flake so it has a deep glisten in the light.
Alder body bolted to a maple neck with a 21 fret rosewood fingerboard (9.5" radius, 43mm nut width), it weighs 3.6kg's. Loaded with the aforementioned Fender USA Texas Special pickups controlled by a 5-way toggle mounted to a nice off-white 3-ply pickguard. Vintage style tuners and Fender stamped saddles give this the classic 60's look and feel that you'd expect.
Very clean condition as pictured with a brand new refinish and a professional setup/service prior to listing. The neck is straight and the frets have plenty of life, the truss adjusts as it should and it plays great. The refinish is a soft acrylic rather than a thick poly, so it's closer in feel to nitrocellulose than anything without the inconsistencies.
