Made in Japan in 1988 (with a highly desirable E serial), this was originally designed by Fender to replicate Keith Richards famous Sonny telecaster. This one came to us with a very poor finish, so we had it grain-filled and re-sprayed in a beautiful Royal Blue. White ash body with a U profile maple neck with vintage gauge frets, 7.25" radius, weighs 3.8kg's. This one has been modified a fair bit including an upgraded Fender ashtray bridge and a pair of tele-sized rail mini humbuckers that sound super hot (although the body is still routed for a neck humbucker if you wanted to go back to the stock configuration). It's also got a brand new bone nut installed and a new output jack/socket, still has the original Fender Japan stamped tuners.

Received a full professional setup and service prior to listing, plays and sounds great with a straight neck and adjustable truss. Frets show some signs of wear/light pitting but are shiny and play well, electronics were flushed and sound great.
