Made in Japan in 1977, the JB500S aimed at replicating Fender's 70's Jazz Bass. Basswood body with a maple neck and bound maple fingerboard (with black block inlays), it weighs 4.2kg's. Loaded with the original Maxon pickups and Japanese pots/wiring, this one's missing the bridge cover and the pickguard otherwise it appears to be all original.
Heavy natural relic on this one as it's in true players grade condition with plenty of bumps and bruises (mostly on the bottom of the body) as pictured. Some of the factory joins have been glued and clamped so they're solid where they had partially separated, everything is rock solid now. The neck is in decent shape and plays well with some wear to the frets and a functional truss.
