Made by S Yairi (the uncle of K Yairi) in Japan in 1976, the YD-303 has a solid spruce top with a laminate Brazillian rosewood back/sides, ebony bridge and a dark rosewood fingerboard, mahogany neck with a slight V profile (45mm nut width), it weighs just over 2kg's.
Well loved condition as pictured with a few bumps and dings to finish on the body and some wear to the neck where it appears the previous owner played it heavily with a few rings on their fingers. Received a restring and professional setup prior to listing including a fret polish and fretboard oil. Frets show some very light wear but are shiny and the neck is straight with a fully functional truss, plays well with a low action (2.25mm at the 12th fret low E).
