2009 Gibson USA SG Special (Ebony)

Description:

Made in Gibson's Nashville factory in 2009, this is the industry standard in lightweight guitars made for versatile rock. The SG Special evolved out of the Les Paul Special in the early '60s when Gibson introduced the SG as its primary solidbody shape. The Special was conceived as a more affordable, parred-down take on SG Standard, and this designation persists till today.

Mahogany body with a chunky mahogany neck and thick rosewood fingerboard. Weighs just over 3kg's. All original except for one of the volume knobs and a strap pin.

Received a full professional setup and service prior to listing. Frets have plenty of life and were polished, minimal pitting or wear. Electronics were flushed and touched up. A few cosmetic dings here and there but nothing major, no cracks in the neck joint or repairs to the headstock, small amount of paint checking on the back of the neck.
