2005 Fender Japan ST62G-SPL SRV Stevie Ray Vaughan Stratocaster (Daphne Blue)
Here's your chance to own one incredibly rare Japanese Fender! These were a non-catalog model and i've only seen one before on the market (other than the one we had last year). Made in the Tokai factory in the mid 2000's, this Fender ST62G-SPL was designed to replicate SRV's #1 model (but without the tacky pickguard!).
Ash body with a maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard. Gold hardware (Fender stamped saddles and Kluson style tuners) and the notable feature of a factory fitted left handed tremolo system. Factory loaded with USA Texas Special pickups, this even has the nice big frets that would make SRV proud! Weighs in at 3.5kg's.
This one very obviously isn't in the original sunburst finish. The neck and body had been sanded by the previous owner, so we had the body professionally sprayed by Brad Cannon in a bright "Daphne Blue" nitro and the neck refinished with a lightly glossed amber nitro. Has a few minor bumps and scuffs to help it look like it's aged to the guitar and it looks absolutely incredible in the flesh. Given a full setup and service prior to listing including new CTS pots and a Switchcraft jack. Unfortunately the serial number was also removed by the previous owner when they sanded the neck, however the neck stamps (and the Mojo Stompboxes reputation) can guarantee that this is authentic in every way.
