2004 History Japan SZ-P2M Medium Scale Precision Bass (Candy Apple Red)

Made by the Fujigen factory (the place that made Japanese Fender models for over a decade) for distribution by the Shimamura stores in Japan only, History models were mostly Fender and Gibson style builds with their own in-house design tweaks.

A 2004 model SZ-P2M P-Bass with a 820mm scale length for a more compact feel. Candy Apple Red finish (with a matching headstock) on a basswood body, rosewood fingerboard (38mm nut width, 20 frets) and maple neck, it weighs 3.7kg's. Loaded with the original VPA P pickup and wiring, it sounds exactly as it should.

Serviced and professionally set up prior to listing including a truss adjustment, restring, polish and fretboard oil. Frets are shiny with plenty of life left and the electronics are working well. Has a few surface dings and a bump to the neck but nothing major or hugely noticeable when playing.
