2000 Epiphone Japan LPC-80 Les Paul Custom (Ebony)
Created for the Japanese market and featuring the open-book Gibson headstock, this is a modern Fujigen made Les Paul produced to Gibson specs. Apparently only the Japanese market models featured this headstock, with the export models using a slightly skinnier shape.
This appears to be a LPC-80 model with an ebony finish. Maple cap and mahogany body, this weighs a reasonable 4.2kg's. Slim 60's style mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard. Seems to be the original Epiphone PAF pickups.
Good overall condition, frets have some pitting but have plenty of life in them and play well. Neck has had a truss adjustment and is straight. Binding on the headstock and near the nut has been puttied (as i believe it was chipped). A deep scratch at the neck join looks to be purely cosmetic.
If you're looking for a bargain Gibson Les Paul with some true Japanese quality, this should be your choice.
