1999 Tokai Japan A-123SG Talbo Blazing Fire Cast Aluminium Electric Guitar
Tokai Talbo (Tokai Aluminium Body) guitars were introduced in 1980 and feature a solid aluminium body with a chamber underneath the pickguard. These were known for having a crystal clear clean tone that resonates beautifully both acoustically and plugged-in. Faded Silver/Gray finish with a rosewood board and a maple neck, loaded with a 5-way selector and Tokai GS-1 single coil pickups. Weighs 4kg's.
If you're Australian, you'll likely recognise these from their use with INXS. Nile Rodgers is rumoured to have put Tim Farriss onto Tokai’s Talbo Blazing Fire. Tim went on to use the Talbo for decades.
I use these live and in the studio, I absolutely love them. The tone and sustain achieved with the aluminium design is beautiful. – Tim Farriss
Exceptionally good condition, received a setup by a former Tokai employee prior to listing. Has a small sticker tan on the front, otherwise it's neat and tidy.
