1999 Epiphone Japan (Fujigen) LPS-80 Les Paul Standard (Trans Amber)
Created for the Japanese market using all the famous American Gibson traits (open book headstock, Les Paul insignia, trapezoid inlays), these combined the Gibson history with Fujigen craftsmanship and were made to Gibson specs. These models are fairly uncommon outside of Japan, and the Fujigen models are usually the ones that stand out.
This is an LPS-80 model that features a mahogany body with a lightly carved maple top (laminate flame), mahogany neck with a slim profile and rosewood fingerboard. Weighs 4.2kg’s and is loaded with the original Epiphone Japan PAF style pickups (missing the cover for the bridge pickup). Has two vintage Russian PIO tone capacitors installed.
Definitely a player's grade guitar with plenty of signs of use as pictured. Plenty of cosmetic dings on the body and headstock, the neck has been sanded back to satin smooth and the frets have some pitting. No breaks, repairs or structural damage to be seen though, it’s rock solid and ready for whatever you throw at it.
