1998 Epiphone Japan LPS Domestic Les Paul Standard (Brown Sunburst)
Made for the Japanese market and featuring the open-book Gibson headstock, this is a modern Fujigen made Les Paul produced to Gibson specs. Apparently only the Japanese market models featured this headstock, with the export models using a slightly skinnier shape.
This appears to be either an LPS-80 or 90 model with a brown sunburst plain top. Maple cap and mahogany body, this has a lot of weight behind it and tips the scale at 4.6kg's. Slim 60's style mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard. Seems to be the original Epiphone PAF neck pickup and a Seymour Duncan Trembucker Distortion pickup in the bridge position, electronics are working well.
Good overall condition, frets have plenty of life in them and play well. Neck has had a truss adjustment and is straight. One notable cosmetic ding on the back end as pictured. Line down the middle is merely cosmetic, accentuated join in the maple cap.
If you're looking for a bargain Gibson Les Paul with some true Japanese quality, this should be your choice.
