1997 InnerWood (Hirotaka Kiuchi) Prototype Japanese 6-String Neckthrough Bass
You need to see this to truly believe how amazing it is. We contacted the man behind InnerWood (Hirotaka Kiuchi) for information and he advised us that it's a prototype made in 1997. Walnut top with a white ash body, striped ebony fingerboard (24 frets, 58mm nut width, 34" scale length), it weighs a whopping 5.5kg's. Much like a Rickenbacker, it's loaded with two independent truss rods (both fully adjustable).
The pickups were custom made for the guitar (as Kiuchi couldn't find any suitable that were being made at the time), it's loaded with the original 9v preamp buffer custom wired for this bass. The original gold Schaller tuners and a custom bridge work perfectly. .
Given a basic service prior to listing, the neck is straight and the frets have plenty of life.
