1996 Orville Japan EB-3 SG Bass by Fujigen (Cherry Red)
Orville Japan models were an attempt at competing with the meteoric rise of Fender Japan and represented Gibson quality manufactured by Japanese luthiers, sold at more affordable retail prices. This is a Fujigen made EB-3 SG bass from the mid 1990's in a nice Cherry Red finish.
Mahogany body with a baseball-bat thick mahogany neck and thick rosewood fingerboard, this is a 770mm short scale length model. Loaded with the stock mini-humbucker/mudbucker combination for plenty of tones, the varitone was replaced with a 3-way mini toggle. one of the pots and a couple knobs were replaced, otherwise it's all original. Weighs 3.2kg's.
Received a full professional setup and service just prior to listing. Neck is straight and the frets are polished with plenty of life. A few cosmetic dings here and there (one notable one on the back) but no structural damage or issues. Light patina to the hardware but the bridge is fully functional.
