1995 Fender Japan ST62-70NS Foto Flame '62 Reissue Stratocaster (Natural)
Made by the Fujigen factory in 1995, this '62 reissue was one of the rarer models with the famous Fotoflame finish on the body (most had Fotoflame on the neck instead). Alder body with a thick basswood cap that wears the Fotoflame laminate quilt design, '62 profile maple neck with a 7.25" radius rosewood fingerboard, it weighs 3.3kg's. Looks to be all original with Fender stamped saddles, vintage style tuners and ST-Vintage single coils running off a 5-way switch.
Given a full teardown and professional setup prior to listing including lubrication of all pots and hardware, a truss adjustment and a fret polish, plays and sounds great. Like most Fotoflame models, the laminate has cracked and is peeling off slightly. Still reasonably secure but would benefit from a bit of glue drop filled to keep it secure (or have it refinished to show off that basswood cap!).
