1992 Orville By Gibson '62 Reissue SG (Heritage Cherry Red)
One of the best examples of a Japanese SG on the market today! Orville models were an attempt at competing with the meteoric rise of Fender Japan and represented Gibson quality manufactured by Japanese luthiers, sold at more affordable retail prices. The "By Gibson" models were the high end of that range and usually feature higher specs than the regular models.
This is a 1962 Reissue SG in Heritage Cherry built in the Terada factory. Gibson TM490 pickup loadout stock from the factory, it's been loaded with brand new Gibson Deluxe tuners and has had the knobs replaced, otherwise appears to be all original! Mahogany build with a rosewood fingerboard, weighs just 2.6kg's. Slightly thicker neck profile than the "slim 60's" that feels super comfortable.
Had a full professional setup and service by Guitars by Romeo prior to listing, plays and sounds perfect with only minor cosmetic wear and buckle rash. There's nothing that comes close to this quality at this price bracket!
