1990 Greco Japan PXB-80 Phoenix (Warwick-ish) Defretted/Fretless Bass (Natural)
Made in the Fujigen factory in the late 1980's, the PXB-80 was Greco's "Warwick" style offering, these were built with an ash body, maple neck, endlessly cool 26 "fret" ebony fingerboard (860mm scale length and a 40mm brass nut) and weigh 3.6kg's. Loaded with Greco Pro-Duce PJ pickups and controlled by volume, tone and balance knobs, it also features a "Middle Shaper" active circuit activated by a toggle switch.
Professionally de-fretted at some stage, it's overall in very nice condition for it's age and was given a service prior to listing. Plays smoothly with flatwounds installed, the fretboard was oiled and the truss was adjusted. Has a brand new 9v battery and sounds great.
