1990 Greco EGC68 Les Paul Custom Electric Guitar Japan MIJ (Ebony)
Made in Japan in 1990, this is one of the Japanese market releases that still maintains the full GIbson style (split diamond inlay, open book headstock) and is an exceptional amount of guitar for under $1000. Mahogany body with a maple top, bound rosewood neck with block inlays, bone nut, Japanese made tuners and upgraded Seymour Duncan JB humbuckers. Weighs in at 4.1kg's.
Japanese Gibson-style guitars (like this one) are a great alternative to a modern Gibson/Epiphone. With the hit and miss quality of modern Gibson guitars, a Japanese guitar from the 70's or 80's can prove to be a higher quality instrument that's been played in nicely. Many of these guitars will also cost you a fraction of what a new Gibson will and are also more affordable than a new Epiphone!
