1990 Fender Japan ST72-700SC Scalloped Yngwie Malmsteen Stratocaster (White)
Made by the Fujigen factory in 1990 (dated by the pot codes), the ST72-700SC was an "unofficial" signature model for Yngwie Malmsteen in that they were designed to his specifications without mentioning his name in the catalog. Basswood body with a scalloped maple neck (7.25" radius, 21 frets), weighs 3.5kg's. Loaded with a Fender Japan single coil in the middle position flanked by an Evans passive single coil in the neck and a Dimarzio HS-3 in the bridge. Brass nut with Fender Japan stamped saddles and Gotoh tuners.
Good overall condition with plenty of signs of wear and tear. Previous owner sanded the whole neck back (including the serial number) along with the fretboard. Jumbo frets have plenty of life left playing shiny and smooth, the truss and neck-tilt adjustor work as they should and the neck is straight.
