1989 Orville by Gibson Les Paul Custom w/EMG's (White)
Made by the Terada factory in 1989, these higher end Orville by Gibson models are some of the highest quality Japanese guitars on the market. Made to Gibson specifications, this one features a mahogany neck and body with a bound rosewood fingerboard and weighs a chunky 4.7kg's. Slim 60's style neck profile with block inlays, open book headstock and a traditional Gibson headstock inlay give this every genuine Gibson touch that a Japanese factory can offer, meaning it both looks and feels like an American guitar from the 80's.
Previous owner replaced the pickups with what i believe is an 81/89 set of active EMG's that honestly sound great for a nice heavy Les Paul.
Just back from a full service with Brad Cannon including a setup, restring, fret polish and overall service so it plays great. Brad also did a full headstock repair including a reinforced mahogany graft in the impacted area and a nitro refinish, it's an incredibly professional job that is virtually undetectable and is a stronger long term repair than a traditional glue-and-clamp.
