1988 Greco VB-65 Violin Beatle Bass (Made in Japan)
Description:
These old Greco VB models are a cost effective way to have a great quality Hofner style bass (someone even tried to put the logo on this one..). This VB-65 from 1980 looks to be a spruce top body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and weighs around 3kg's. The set neck on these is a good manufacturing upgrade from the earlier bolt-on models, has a great 60's "pop" for that classic sound that's tough to replicate with other basses.
Good overall condition with plenty of life left, previous owner has painted the Hofner logo over the Greco one and it's missing the pickguard but otherwise it appears to be all original. Straight neck, intonates and plays well.
