1987 Fender Japan Telecaster Standard (Cream)
Made by the Fujigen factory in 1987, this is a non-reissue model Telecaster in an aged cream finish. Nice heavy basswood body with a maple neck and 22 fret fingerboard (648mm scale length), it weighs just under 4kg’s. Has the original Alnico pickups in there which sound great and are a nice factory improvement from the ceramics that these guitars usually have as stock.
Given a full setup and service prior to listing including a new tone capacitor, wiring clean up and restring. Frets play well and were polished, neck is straight and truss works well. Neck has been rubbed back with steel wool to give it a smoother feel in the hand.
