1987 Fender Japan ST72-65 Richie Blackmore Scalloped Stratocaster Olympic White
Description:
Part of the highly desirable E Series of guitars made by the Fujigen factory in the 1980's, this is a rare "unofficial" Richie Blackmore model in Olympic White.
Basswood body with a maple neck and a partially scalloped rosewood fingerboard (full scallop on the treble side that shallows out on the bass strings to allow for easier chord fretting). 7.22" radius with a nice slim C profile neck.
Loaded with the original Fender Japan pickups and Gotoh tuners, it features the iconic aesthetic of black pickup covers and plastics with a white guard along with the oversized headstock, bullet truss rod and three-bolt neck plate. Weighs 3.5kg's.
Received a full professional setup prior to listing including a deep clean, fret polish and fretboard oil. Frets have life left and play well with minimal pitting. Looks to be all original except for a brand new nut. Good overall cosmetic condition with a few basic signs of use as pictured.
