1987 Fender Japan ST54 '54 Reissue Stratocaster w/Soft V Neck (Brown Sunburst)
Made by the Fujigen factory as part of the famous E Series from the 1980's. The ST54 model was added to the Fender Japan range around 5 years after the brands inception, making it a much rarer guitar than the 57 and 62 reissues.
Basswood body with a maple neck shaped with the famous '54 soft V neck profile (7.25" radius, 43mm nut, 648mm scale length), it weighs 3.8kg's. Seems all original with a factory 5-way switch (compared to the 3-way on later ST54 models), Japanese ST-VINTAGE single coils, a die-cast bridge, vintage style tuners and Fender stamped saddles.
Lightly used condition for an 80's build as pictured with only a few dings/bumps. The finish is shiny and clean and there are no breaks or repairs. Given a full setup and service prior to listing including a fret polish and truss adjustment, plenty of life in the frets and a nice straight neck with low action.
