1986 Tokai Japan SD653 HSS Superstrat (Black/Gold)
Description:
Made in Japan in the mid-late 80's, the SD65 series were showcased on page one of the Tokai catalog. Black finish with mirror gold pickguard and gold hardware really pops! Alder body with a maple neck and thin rosewood fingerboard (22 frets, 648mm scale length), it weighs 3.6kg's.
Loaded with "L.White" pickups (two SDS-DRIVE and one SDH-DRIVE) controlled by a master volume and tone control with a 5-way selector. Dual locking Ayers Rock 5 tremolo (licensed Floyd).
Received a full professional service and setup prior to listing and plays and sounds great. Frets were polished and are shiny with minimal pitting and plenty of life left. Neck is straight and truss is working.
