1986 Ibanez Roadstar II RG425 (Made in Japan) Vintage Electric Guitar
The RG425 is a Roadstar II series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1986. The Roadstar II series would eventually become known as the RG series. The RG425 was produced in Japan by FujiGen.
The RG425 is one of only a few RG models produced with a 22-fret neck. It is also remarkable for the placement of its two humbucking pickups adjacent to one another. It has the sharp-edged body style which distinguishes it from the older Roadstar II body.
The RG425 features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret fingerboard with dot inlays. Components include dual Ibanez humbucking pickups mounted side-by-side at the bridge with coil-tap Duo Sound functionality and an Edge double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut.
The RG425 has the original swoopy Roadstar II headstock shape and the headstock is painted to match the body.
Used cosmetic condition with plenty of cosmetic ageing as pictured. Locking nut and fine tuners replaced along with the knobs. Received a full setup and service prior to listing, plays and sounds great.
