
1986 Ibanez Proline Series PL650 (Made in Japan) Vintage Electric Guitar
The Pro Line series is a line of solid body electric guitars produced by Hoshino Gakki and sold under the Ibanez brand. The Pro Line was introduced in 1985 and featured oil finished necks, flat radius fingerboards and custom finishes and represented the top end of Ibanez line-up. The line was developed with input from some of the top professional guitarists. The Pro Line series lasted for only two years before discontinued after 1986 in favour of the Roadstar Pro designation.
The PL650 features an offset double cutaway basswood body with rounded contours and edges bolted to a maple neck with an amber back a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include Ibanez pickups with an Super 70 humbucker at the bridge and Super 7FT single coil pickups at the neck and middle positions and an Edge double locking tremolo bridge with a locking nut. Each pickup has an individual on-off mini-toggle. Weighs 3.5kg's.
Near perfect cosmetic condition, includes the original gigbag and paperwork. Frets have some light wear but have plenty of life and play well, neck is straight.
