1986 Fernandes Japan BX-80J "Jimmy" Model Explorer (White)
Made by Fernandes Japan in the mid 1980's, the BX-80J was the "Musicians Model" for Satoshi "Jimmy" Hirose and is a very fun 80's explorer.
An upgrade on the rest of the BX series, these use an alder body, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard (13.75" radius, 22 frets, 24" scale length). Loaded with a pair of SH-1 pickups, master volume and a three-way toggle along with a Head Crasher locking tremolo system. Weighs 3.5kg's.
Good overall condition with a faded white finish that holds some mild cosmetic wear. Given a professional service prior to listing, truss is functional and the neck is straight. Frets were polished and the board was oiled, plenty of life left in the current frets with minimal pitting.
*Please note the output jack is on the side of this guitar, the one on the top is a dummy jack to replicate the aesthetics of the original artists model (which featured some extra onboard electronics).
