1985 Fender Japan ST-535 E Series Contemporary HH Stratocaster (Black)
The Fender Contemporary series were the first Fender guitars to be exported from Japan! This ST-535 model is from the E Series (known as some of the best quality Fender Japan instruments) and features dual humbuckers, 22 frets and a 24.75" scale length in an attempt to create the tones of Gibson's Les Paul while still retaining the feel of a Stratocaster. Also features a Fender System 1 locking tremolo, three way Gibson style toggle and master volume/tone controls. Weighs 3.5kg's.
This one is in true players condition and has been well loved over the years. Plenty of cosmetic wear and tear as pictured. Received a full setup and service prior to listing and is playing great, new barrel style jack installed. Locking component of the nut was removed so it now functions as a string tree, shouldn't be too hard to find a replacement if you want to take it back to a true locking tremolo.
