1983 Squier Japan JV Series '62 Vintage Stratocaster (Sunburst) w/USA Pickups
Not all JV models are equal. If you're looking for one of the genuine Squier JV's that are notoriously as good as a vintage USA model then look no further, this is one of them. An export model "'62 Vintage Stratocaster" model from the Fujigen factory, this one is neck stamped 6-2-83 and appears to be all original both inside and out. Alder body with a polyester finish, 21 fret rosewood fingerboard with a slim maple neck, it weighs 3.5kg's. Unlike most of the domestic models that had ceramic pickups, this one features a factory set of cloth wired grey back Fender USA (Fullerton) alnico pickups.
Given a basic service prior to listing, frets are shiny and have plenty of life, truss is adjustable and the neck is straight. Pots were flushed and work well along with the original 3-way DM-30 switch.
