1983 Squier Japan CST-55 JV Series '72 Reissue Stratocaster (Pearl White)
Some of the most sought after Japanese guitars ever made, the JV series are some of the highest quality vintage Fender guitars to ever come out of Japan and have been steadily rising in value for the last 10 years. The CST-55 was made in 1983 and was a replica of the CBS style Stratocaster released in the 70's. This one features a "Pearl White" finish with a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, it weighs 3.3kg's.
This one has clearly lived a long life. The following work was done prior to us receiving the guitar, we've merely restrung it. Has some buzzing frets but could be a great project for someone looking to bring this gem back to life. Sold as-is.
Scalloped fretboard (looks to either be factory or a professional aftermarket job), has had a locking nut installed at some stage although it's not back to a regular one. Has a prewired loaded pickguard installed and likely a new bridge and tremolo system along with some light routing to the cavity and under the pickguard. Tuners also replaced.
