1983 Aria Pro II (Matsumoku) PE-60 Les Paul (Cherry Sunburst)
The PE series was an attempt to modernise the Les Paul shape and style and the Matsumoku factory put a lot of effort into making these to the best quality possible. Made in Japan in the early 1980's, this is finished in what was called "Flashing Red" (which resembles a Gibson style Cherry Sunburst). Mahogany body with a carved maple top, set mahogany neck with a heel-less cutaway for easy access to all 22 frets on the rosewood fingerboard. Chrome plated hardware and a bone nut, it's loaded with a pair of Smooth Crash humbuckers and standard Les Paul wiring with the addition of two "Dual Sound" switches. Weighs 4.2kg's.
Great cosmetic and playing condition with some minor wear and tear as pictured. Plays nicely as it sits and received a basic setup and service prior to being listed. Frets are polished and smooth and the fretboard was oiled, truss is functional and the neck is straight. Seems to be all original.
