1982 Tokai Japan Original Series SX38 Electric Guitar (Seafoam)

Description:

Part of the Tokai Original Series of the early 1980's, the SX series were a modernisation on the traditional Stratocaster shape. An aged Seafoam finish (with a matching headstock) on what appears to be a basswood body, rosewood fretboard and maple neck. Has a 648mm scale length and 22 frets, 42mm nut width and weighs 3.2kg's.

Loaded with two Tokai single coils, a master volume and tone control along with a three-way selector, it has a very "Jaguar" sound. Stratocaster style tremolo is original and made in house by Tokai.

Good overall condition as pictured. Restrung and given a basic service prior to shipping, frets were polished and the fretboard was oiled. Frets have life left and play smoothly although they're slightly pitted. Has a brand new output jack installed.
