1982 Ibanez MC824 Musician Series Defretted Bass (Made in Japan)
The Ibanez Musician series started back in 1979 and was made famous by the likes of Sting, Adam Clayton and John Entwistle. This one was professionally defretted some time ago to channel what was apparently Sting's most used bass when playing in The Police.
The Musician series featured some incredible build quality, incorporating a rock maple and walnut neckthrough construction with an ash body. Loaded with a Super P5 and Super J5 pickup configuration and master tone/volume knobs, it sounds as good as it looks.
Good overall condition with some minor signs of basic use, no notable dings or dents. Plays great with a smooth fretboard and straight neck as it sits. Weighs 4.5kg's.
