1981 Tokai Japan Hard Puncher Precision Bass (Black)
Description:
Made in Japan by Tokai in the early 1980's, the Hard Puncher was their take on the '77 Fender Precision bass. Maple neck and a rosewood fingerboard along with a glossy black alder body. 41mm nut width and a nice round U profile neck, weighs 3.9kg's.
Received a full teardown and rebuilt prior to listing. Fully disassembled for a deep clean, it's had brand new wiring, pots and knobs installed along with a vintage tone capacitor and a new output jack. Fretboard was oiled and the frets were polished. Truss was adjusted and is a little firm but still appears to have life left, the bass plays well at the moment with a medium action and some relief in the neck.
