1981 Greco VB-500 Violin Beatle Bass (Made in Japan) w/Hard Case
These old Greco VB models are a cost effective way to have a great quality Hofner style bass. This one is a VB-500 from the 1981 catalog (which some believe to be the peak era for Greco quality!) and it looks to feature a spruce top body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. The set neck on these is a good manufacturing upgrade from the earlier bolt-on models. Has a great 60's pop for that classic sound that's tough to replicate with other basses.
In pretty solid condition for a 1980's bass guitar, has minor signs of cosmetic wear and tear as pictured but plays nicely. Recently had one of the pickups wax-potted by Guitars by Romeo. Includes the original hard case and handbook (plus the vintage sales receipt from Ishibashi).
