1981 Fresher Japan FE-600 Semi Hollowbody (Brown Sunburst)
Fresher guitars from this era were built by Chushin Gakki in Japan (the factory responsible for Jackson and Charvel builds). This ES-335 style model is part of the fourth generation of Fresher models, which were a big upgrade from their earlier models with build quality and specs moving much closer to the Fender and Gibson models they were replicating.
The FE-600 features a flame aesthetic maple top and back with a brown sunburst finish. Mahogany neck with a smooth C profile and nice rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays and fretboard binding. Vintage style tuners with a tune-o-matic bridge and wraparound tailpiece. Weighs 3.4kg's.
With the prices of Greco and Tokai models skyrocketing in recent years, a guitar like this Fresher is a good way to still get a vintage Japanese hollowbody without breaking the bank, includes a vintage hardcase.
Received a full professional setup and service prior to listing. Seems to be all original (unmarked pickups), frets have plenty of life and were polished during the setup. Fret edge binding still in tact. Neck is straight and truss is functional.
