1980's Yamaha LP-400 "Lord Player" Les Paul Standard (Black)
Made in the mid 1980's, the Yamaha Lord Player LP-400 reverted back to true Gibson style. With the famous "open book" headstock shape and model font, the Lord Player series are very scarcely seen outside of Japan. Yamaha guitars from this period were favoured by guitarists including Carlos Santana, Al DiMeola, Bob Marley and Andy Taylor and are considered to be some of the best Japanese Gibson style instruments.
A well assembled 80's Les Paul with a mahogany construction, slim 60's neck profile, rosewood fingerboard, it weighs just over 4kg's. Unknown pickups installed with a coil split on the bridge humbucker, has aftermarket Japanese tuners installed.
Good used condition for nearly 40 years old, the finish is nice and glossy with no repairs or breaks. Frets are polished and have plenty of life left, the neck is straight and the truss is functional. Missing the control cavity plate and pickguard.
