1980's Tokai Factory Prototype HSS Superstrat (White, White, White)
Made by Tokai in the 1980's, this superstrat model came to us directly from the factory in Hamamatsu, Japan. There was a big factory clear-out of old stock, prototypes and factory seconds when the company changed ownership late last year and this is one of the guitars unearthed in that process. As the new Australian distributor of Tokai we were given loads of these guitars and will be re-homing them as we get them serviced!

I'd say this was made as an experiment/custom order or for a photoshoot, although it is a professional job and the hardware was painted prior to installation so there's no overspray or dripping. Slim maple neck with a 24 fret bound maple fingerboard, it's loaded with the original HSS Alnico pickups and Takeuchi locking tremolo, weighs 3.1kg's.
Good vintage condition as pictured and doesn't seem to have been used outside of the factory in it's 30+ years of life. Restrung and given a basic Floyd balance and setup prior to listing.
